WJLX to air Jasper High baseball and softball

WJLX will air select Jasper varsity baseball and softball games beginning this season.

“We have been wanting to add spring sports to our lineup for some time to compliment our football and basketball coverage. Jasper baseball has been a playoff staple for several years and the Vikings’ softball program has steadily risen into one that makes annual trips to the region and state tournaments. With the 20 games we will be broadcasting split between softball and baseball, fans who can’t attend the games will be able to enjoy all the plays as we bring it to them,” WJLX station manager Brett Elmore said. “This is the first step in implementing new and exciting sports coverage this year. Additionally, we’re very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Coach Pat Ware and Coach Brandi Hall as their lead their respective teams through another successful year.” 

Coverage starts Thursday as Jasper hosts Hayden in baseball action.
